Going out for dim sum has become a regular weekend outing (not EVERY weekend) for our family! We have a decent dim sum place near our house, so we’re happy we don’t have to trek all the way into the International District to partake. I realized a while back that dim sum is the perfect food for little kids, because there’s no wait for the food. As soon as you’re seated, the carts come rolling by and voila, you have food on your table! We order a platter of noodles off of the menu for our boy who loves all things noodles, and the staff have gotten to know us so well that when we arrive, they bring us two high chairs and ask if we want an order of noodles!
This morning I was out shooting several holiday mini sessions, so I was happy to meet the rest of the family at our local dim sum place for lunch right after my sessions wrapped up. Because I had my camera on me, and because this is a little weekend family tradition, I decided I would document lunch! I hope you’re not hungry!
I love that each child has their own favorites. Bennett: noodles and steamed buns. Morgs: turnip cakes. Avery: sesame balls and fortune cookies, and shrimp.
These photos are far from ultra-moving and inspiring, but I was happy to be able to capture this little bit of our routine that’s become one of our family things.
